As the weather gets progressively warmer it only makes sense to do more cooking outside in an attempt to keep the temperature inside more tolerable. I hate feeling too hot it makes me so uncomfortable I’d rather be cold, is that strange? Anyway grilling is one of my favourite things and this recipe is so easy and absolutely delicious!
Eating food off a steak makes it taste better, mmm…
Spicy Steak Sticks
1 lb marinating beef, cut into cubes
1/2 small white onion, fine diced
3 garlic cloves, fine diced
4 Tbsp tomato paste
1 Tbsp Red Wine
1/2 tsp sugar
2-3 chilies fine diced
salt and pepper to taste
1 red pepper, large diced *
1 green pepper, large diced *
* May be replaced with vegetable of your choice, I have tried and enjoyed red onion, orage peppers, mushrooms, and tomato
Place first 8 ingredients into a sealed bag and massage marinade into meat let stand refrigerated for at least one hour or overnight for best results.
Fire up the grill, prepare sticks by rubbing olive oil or cooking spray
Thread meat and vegetables onto sticks alternating until all ingredients have been threaded. Brush remaining marinade onto prepared sticks and cook covered on the grill turning at least once and brushing on more marinade. Depending on desired steak temperature turn every 3-6 minutes flipping at least once.
